EarthSwitch Architects delivered a sustainable architectural solution for Thanda Primary School in Hectorspruit. The innovative design repurposes shipping containers into a functional kitchen and serving area capable of supporting over 850 pupils. Key green architectural features include advanced insulation, a solar chimney for passive cooling, rainwater harvesting, and integrated photovoltaic systems to drastically reduce energy demands, creating efficient and resilient educational infrastructure.
